Hello Terri, I like to consider symbols as open windows, as opposed to establishing a definitive corollary meaning. I don’t pretend to hold the key to the meaning of the symbols of my work, and I often learn a great deal from the insights of those who experience the work. I am still happy to offer up my thoughts and intents behind the symbols, as long as that doesn’t close the door to the Holy Spirit continuing to open the work. In this case the Roman V is a reference to the five wounds of Christ, especially as Saint Francis, when he received the stigmata proclaimed that the five wounds were five doors or windows whereby grace entered the world. The Twelve is understood as a sacred number- often of this organizing/ governing structure of time (twelve hours in the day, twelve in the night) and culture, twelve tribes, twelve apostles, etc. I hope that this helps!
